Most runners and friends have their evening meals as follows:

Friday Night Meal:
All runners who enter either a Friday or Saturday Morning event will be given a complimentary, non-transferable voucher to the Friday Night Dinner, provided by the local community. For the friends or partners of these runners, on the entry portal runners can buy addition tickets for the rest of his party @ $15-00/adult or $10/ primary school child. You can pay the extra for your partner/friends/children as part of your entry fee or cash on the night.

Saturday Night:
All those camping and staying nearby are welcome to join “The Long Table" for dinner. Just bring your own table (to make a long table) chair, food and drink, and share your fare with others.

Sunday Night:
As part of the Bull Riding, there is a BBQ type meal, in the unrestricted area adjacent to the hotel. The restricted area is the ‘Bull Riding Arena’, where you must pay to enter.
There are also hot meal/snack and grocery options available at the Maidenwell Trading Post (opposite the pub) during the day. Please check their opening hours when you arrive in Maidenwell.

What is the course like?

The course is 7km out and 7km back, where your race is not a variation of 14km, the turn points on the course are clearly marked. The underfoot surface is mixture of ‘all weather’ (gravel) country lanes, and farm tracks.

Drink Stations and Hydration?

(IMPORTANT) Drink stations will be at a maximum spacing or 3km, and some will be unmanned. As the weather will probably be hot, it is a condition of entry that all runners carry at least 600ml of fluids from the start in a container which can be refilled. If you have other personal nutrition/hydration requirements, they need to be labelled and delivered to the start prior to 5-30AM, and we will place them at the yet to be numbered drink stations for you.
